Hey, it’s Laura Gutknecht and I want to thank you for being part of the Nerd and Super Nerd™ community!

The goal of Nerd and Super Nerd™ is to create a place where you can find positivity online. I use stories of our adventures to give you a 5-minute time out so you can journey along with us before returning to the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.

At Nerd and Super Nerd™ you will see stories, helpful travel tips, photography hacks, and find inspiration to start capturing adventures in your own life.

All of these posts and resources are free for you to enjoy and they represent hours and hours of writing, editing photographs, researching the best ideas, and some posts come at a deep personal commitment to share honestly.

In order to keep writing, sharing, traveling, and exploring I need to support this website financially and at some point support our home and travel budget.

As such I recommend products that I have used or products I highly recommend based on research and opinions from those I trust and by referring you through affiliate links.

Being an affiliate means that I am able to earn a small commission when you purchase an item from the company, at no extra cost to you! It’s a way that companies, like Amazon or Photo Fix, get their name out there and say thank you to those of us who connect you to their products.

I see this as a huge benefit to you, my readers, who can easily purchase recommended items for your own adventures AND it gives me an opportunity to start growing my savings for journeys both in business and in life! Win-Win!

Side Note: Amazon gives me a commission for your entire shopping cart the day you click an Amazon link from my website. So if you want to support Nerd and Super Nerd (for FREE) be sure to click on over here when you’re stocking up on dog treats, getting a new set of headphones, or even buying a garbage disposal. Every time you buy from Amazon please consider clicking one of my affiliate links – my family and I thank you!

In emails and throughout blog posts you will see me use (<< affiliate link) in order to denote links where I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

The FTC requires all websites to disclose affiliate links or advertisements in a clear and conspicuous manner and I can whole heartedly comply because I think it’s important for you, my readers, know that I’m sending you to a website where I may earn a commission.

The FTC also requires websites to disclose if they received any item at a discount or for free. I haven’t received any items for free yet, but when I do I will always give my honest opinion – mostly because I like you more than presents and secondly because honesty is part of the adventure and it’s the only way to enjoy it fully.

A few legal things before wrapping up:

1) Even if I recommend a product or service I do not guarantee or warrant results or promise outcomes. You are solely responsible for all purchases and for issues related to products or services I link to – you must contact that provider to resolve your issue.

2) I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

3) You are a rock star for reading this far! You’ve earned yourself your favorite beverage!

Thanks for sticking around!

Laura Gutknecht
